They are controlled by billionaires with deep ties to Republican far-right power — and they have repeatedly shown they’re willing to spread hate, misinformation, and polarizing content if it keeps Republicans winning, people addicted to scrolling and advertisers paying. People like Andrew Tate, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Tucker Carlson have all been made extremely popular by these platforms.
From the 2016 election through the chaos of 2025, these platforms allowed disinformation to spread unchecked, undermining our democracy while silencing progressive, democratic voices with their murky “community rules.”
So we said, enough. Democrats need a home. This is our app — built by Democrats, for Democrats. And those who share our values.
